Michael Turrentine Cancer Surgery Fund
Donation protected
This Go Fund Me is being set up to assist with medical and living expenses for my son-in-law Michael Turrentine, his wife Jennifer and their children… Emily (9 yrs) and Joshua (7 yrs).
On Thursday, December 17, 2020, Michael suffered a seizure while at work. Thankfully he was not driving at the time and was on the phone with a co-worker while in the parking lot of the job he was going to. When he began seizing and became incoherent the phone got disconnected. His co-worker managed to locate him via GPS on the company’s van. He found Michael doubled over the steering wheel gasping for breath and unresponsive and called 911. At the hospital they did a CAT scan and later an MRI which showed a mass in his frontal lobe. He was diagnosed with astrocytoma… a type of cancer that can occur in the brain or spinal cord. He is scheduled for surgery on January 14, 2021. We are hopeful that the surgery will be a success and he will not have to do chemo or radiation.
Michael works as an HVAC technician and is the sole provider for the family. He is currently unable to work because he is on anti-seizure medications and cannot drive. He will also have a recovery period after the brain surgery. Any assistance you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.
