Michael Unger's Medical bills

Hi my name is Ashleigh, and this is my dad Michael Unger. On February 23rd he was crossing the road from his job to get food from the gas station @ 6:56pm. Crossing the road he was hit by a car going aprx. 40-50 mph, and was flung 143 feet. He suffered multiple injuries including 11 broken ribs on his left side, 4 broken ribs on his right, a punctured lung, a broken neck, multiple breaks in his back, a broken collar bone, and multiple severe fractures in his face. He's been unconscious since the accident, and is currently on a ventilator. He went through surgery on Wednesday to plate 8 of his broken ribs on the left side. Unfortunately the accident is being ruled his fault because they're saying he crossed on a green light. Even more unfortunate there was no witnesses besides him, and the driver; and he is not awake to tell his half of the story. We timed the light, and it's 12.3 seconds until the light turns green from red. My dad just had surgery on his feet (due to his diabetes) and had booties on to help him walk so obviously he couldn't run or hobble across fast enough. I'm asking for help for my family because my dad is a very prideful strong man that always wants to provide for his family. His biggest wish growing up was my mom never had to work, and was a stay at home mom. Currently she is getting a job, but it's not enough to support the house, and my younger siblings without him. As well as she has to work around my brothers special needs. On top of her worrying about all of this we now have to worry about covering his medical bills on top of reconstruction surgery for the half of his face that has the severe fractures so he can see again. At this point any help for my family will be so appreciated. I just want to help my dad anyway that I can, and also help my mom so she doesn't have to go through this alone. This has been the worst thing all of us had ever have to face in our lives between worrying if he'd make it through this, and now worrying about his medical bills.
