Hello dear reader

You probably came across this GoFundMe campaign because your life was in some way connected to my father's. My father was a free-spirited man who followed his passion, which took him to the United States and the sunny state of California, where he fully embraced his passion for all things classic motorcycles and cars, '60s pop art, model kits, a whole lot more and most importantly "being free".

Early on he showered me with this passion, and to this day I fondly remember long car rides listening to the Blues Brothers, attending car meetups, dining at Bob's Big Boy Car Show, and receiving immeasurable amount of Pop Culture Knowledge.... Including the fact that I was led to believe that Bruce Wayne lived in Beverly Hills.

My father had a magical ability to draw others towards him and impart his passion onto others, he always had (good) advice for his friends, loved to share his knowledge, and had an unimaginable amount of optimism. Something I always respected a lot.

Sadly, my father passed away and will no longer be able to share his memories, knowledge and laughter with us, but he will live on in our hearts.

I created this GoFundMe campaign to make sure I can help him on this last road trip and give him the closure he deserves. As a German citizen residing in Germany, this is especially challenging and sadly the bureaucracy and costs are a huge burden.

Any help is appreciated to ensure that we can honor his life and the life he left behind. The money would be used to pay the rent for his garage so we can make sure nothing is thrown away while the authorities are working, bureaucratic costs, and covering gas costs, etc. for friends who will be helping out, etc.
