Michael Whalen Memorial Fund

Everyone who knew Michael knew that he was one of the most genuinely nice and caring people you would ever meet.  His face always had a smile and that smile was contagious. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather and was taken way to soon.  As many know,  Michael was a HUGE superhero fan and shared his love of comics with many over the years. 

One of Michael's other favorite things was fishing.  Every year he attended an event specifically for kids at Izaak Walton in Colerain Township, The Kid Fish. 
We joked that this was like his second birthday each year- He loved it that much and couldn't wait to get all his kids and grand kids together for some fishing fun. The event is to bring kids out to the lake, teach them to cast and fish, cheer them on and enjoy food and prizes after fishing.

In memory of Michael, the family would like to make a donation to the kid fish in Michael's honor. The event takes place in June each year. We think Michael would be very proud to see super hero prizes and fishing poles as gifts for the kids in the years to come.
