Michael whetstone our hero aged 23 sadly passed

Please help the family to cover the cost of Michael’s funeral. 

This is for Michael a 23 year old who was diagnosed with ALD (Adrenoleukodystrophy) 10years ago.

What is ALD? is a genetic condition that damages the membrane (myelin sheath) that covers nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord

we his family were told he would have 2 years to live, but he defied all odds and fought another 8 years. He lost his battle on Thursday 25th January 2024 with his family at his side.

When he was younger he was a normal cheeky boy who loved to wind people up be out with his friends and loved his family. Michael lived ant home until he became to unwell and needed full time care. Then he lived in a care home, where the staff loved Michael as much as we do. He was unable to eat talk walk do anything for himself for many years. Taking away some of his child hood and what should have been the start of his adult life.

michael loved Chelsea football club and Michael Jackson, he loved his music and animals. He also love to try to grab the nurses bums cause he knew he could get away with it.

We would love to give him an amazing send off one he deserves, this is not something any of his family were ready for even knowing one day it would happen. How do you prepare for something like this?

Michael has touched so many hearts and has now left a big gap in ours, we his family would be grateful for any help toward his funeral which is still to be arranged but will update as soon as we know a date.
