Michael Zambardino's Kidney Transplant

**UPDATE**

I am SO happy to report back that I was a match to donate to Michael and we had the transplant Tuesday 5/14 at Cornell NYP in NYC. Everything went well and we are currently both recovering! Our doctors and nurses were beyond incredible and we were handle with true care.

We want to thank everyone who has supported us throughout this extremely tough 2 year journey. We are so excited to start our next chapter together and live life to the fullest.

I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. I am speaking out to you today with a heavy heart but a glimmer of hope. My name is Tatiana Zambardino and I am speaking on behalf of my husband, Michael Zambardino. We are newlyweds and we both never expected to start our life together like this. Michael is in need of your support for a life-changing journey - a kidney transplant.

For the past 6 years, he has been battling chronic kidney disease, and it has taken a toll on every aspect of his life. Despite the challenges, he has remained resilient, fueled by the love and support from our family and friends. Doctors have informed us that a kidney transplant is my best chance at a healthier and more fulfilling life. Michael has been on dialysis for almost 2 years and it strips the life out of him each time he goes. He's in dialysis for 12 hours a week and comes home and sleeps for another 4 hours after dialysis. Sometimes I feel like he is just sleeping his life away.

The cost of a kidney transplant is substantial, and while he has insurance, it doesn't cover all the associated expenses. From medical bills to post-surgery care, the financial burden is overwhelming. This is where I humbly ask for your support. I have created this GoFundMe page to raise funds that will help Michael cover the costs of the transplant and ensure a smoother recovery process.
