This is GoFundMe page is for the family of Michael " Connor" Verkerke, from Kentwood Michigan. Connor was a happy, energetic, loving 9 year old boy who loved to play with his younger brothers, sing, camp, dance, drama, and Cub Scouts. Connor lost his life on August 4, 2014 when a 12 year old boy asked to be his friend and to go play. That new friend then took Connor's life by stabbing him multiple times in the back.
Connor's younger brother, 7 year old Kameron, watched the stabbing, and when he could, he grabbed his brother and helped him home. Connors' dad tried to stop the bleeding until help arrived.
Connor died at the hospital a short time later. This has been a nightmare for the family, especially for Kameron and Connor's parents. Kameron is afraid to go back to their home, and the parents see their wonderful son losing his life on the porch. They would like to move, for everyones mental well-being.

My name is Missy Nowicki and I am from Wyoming Michigan ... I set up this fund for the family. One of my best friends is Sue Fiebig, Connor was her grandson. The funds will be used for funeral expenses, counseling, to move and help raise the other children in the family. I gave the family all access to this account to withdrawl funds as they need them . Sue has all access as she is a family member.
