Update 07/20/23
I spoke with Yvonne today and she shared with me that it looks like Michael will continue to undergo treatment. She shared the following post on FB today and asked me to share it with you all. Please continue to Pray for Michael and his family.
From Yvonne's facebook:
Hi friends and family. It has been awhile since we have posted an update because there hasn’t been much to report other than the routine chemo treatments and the expected symptoms. But today we have an update!
The update is that it seems the tumor marker is beginning to plateau. Because of this, the treatment may be adjusted, placing Michael in the maintenance therapy phase of chemo. This means that one or more of the drugs used in the chemo could be removed, which would make symptoms more tolerable (we hope). Nothing is set in stone yet but, we are hopeful.
The 8th chemo treatment is next week, Tuesday July 25 and a CT scan will be the week after that. The upcoming treatment on Tuesday, however, will not be adjusted. We have to wait for CT scans and more blood work before having any changes to the treatment.
Original Post
Michael Hudson, a Kendall County Sheriff, was recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. As many of you know, Michael is a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, but most importantly he is a fighter. He is in the fight for his life and can use some support to help offset the costs of the medical bills that are quickly wracking up at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. Please consider donating to help him with medical bills and to keep his family afloat as they surround him during the fight of his life. He feels very blessed to have such a strong medical team and the love and support of so many on his side. We know that not everyone is able to offer financial support, but hope that you will at the very least share this gofundme fundraiser with others and to cover him and his family in prayer.
