Michael's Magical Quest
Donation protected
We are pleased to announce that the Pay it Forward committee is BACK! In keeping with the tradition of Noah's Welding Rodeo (Noah's vision was to pay it forward to other Pickens students facing similar challenges) this year will benefit 18 year old Michael, an Advanced Manufacturing student at Pickens Technical College. Michael is a talented artist, game designer and master dragon slayer. Throughout his childhood Michael struggled with asthma and Hereditary Elliptocytosis (HE). While going through a battery of tests at Children’s Hospital, to identify the reason for his pain, he was diagnosed with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia or Strumpell-Lorrain syndrome. Due to the progressive nature of the disease, there is no cure and he will continue to get worse. Eventually, he will be wheelchair bound. Amazingly, Michael's indominable spirt and creative asperations have not been daunted. What he needs is adaptive equipment to continue to create, see a bit of the world and live his best life.
