Welcome to the fundraiser page for Michael Fontana Jr. Michael lives with his wife Dounia and their four children in Sayre,PA.
In October, 2012 he was diagnosed with colon cancer. From March, 2013 thru August, 2013 he went through massive amounts of chemotherapy.
In September, 2013 he was declared clear of colon cancer. However in December, 2014 he went for a follow up Pet Scan, and they found stage 4 cancer in his lungs.
In February, 2015 they operated and removed part of his lung. He then started chemotherapy in March, 2015 thru August, 2015.
Another Pet Scan was done in January, 2016, and they found cancer tumors in his kidneys and bladder. As a result he had to stop working as a Sous Chef at Tioga Downs Casino and started chemo all over again.
As we all know this will be financially difficult with mortgage, medical and usual monthly bills.
This fundraiser has been organized to help remove some of the financial burden from Michael and Dounia during this difficult time when his main focus needs to be on healing. If you are able to donate in any way it would be much appreciated by their family.
We sit and wonder why these unfourtunate things happen to good people. Michael has a heart of gold and always sees the good in everyone. His whole outlook on life is to enjoy everyday with nothing but positivity, love and adventure. He loves to be surrounded by his family and friends creating nothing but beautiful memories.
With the help of God, the power of prayer, and the love and support from his family and friends we will watch Michael fight the fight of his life and tell this cancer to take a hike!
