Michael’s Medical Miracle Fund
Donation protected
This GoFundMe exists to raise money toward paying off Michael’s medical expenses incurred during his life-saving liver transplant.
Michael’s story
When Michael was 15 years old, doctors explained his liver was failing.
In the meanwhile, they put him on the waiting list for a liver transplant. Trips to the doctor became more frequent. The stays got longer, the scares got scarier.
On October 1, 2019 -- over 11 years of waiting for hope -- Michael got the call: “We have a liver for you.”
Michael put his hesitations to the side and accepted the liver transplant.
The transplant was a success, and thanks to his otherwise healthy 26-year-old fit self, his healing process is strong. But despite the hope, there’s a long road (or small mountain range) filled with hurdles ahead of him. He’ll have medications, therapies, additional treatments and more visits.
By donating to this GoFundMe, you’re helping remove some of those hurdles. You’re giving his family peace of mind. You’re allowing Michael to get back on his feet faster.
And most importantly, you’re giving Michael even more reason to smile past the pain.
About Michael
If you’re on this page, chances are that you probably know Michael or his family. Thank you all for donating or even clicking on this link to donate. Your care and support -- both offline and online -- has helped him enormously through this journey.
But if you don’t know him personally, hi! Welcome to my best friend’s GoFundMe page. Here’s why you should consider helping Michael pay off his medical expenses:
- He’s a Trooper. Literally. His job with Walt Disney World is to be “friends” with the Storm Troopers. He has the best job in the world, and he loves bringing joy to people for a living. Help him get back to making magic with your donation.
- He’s one of the nicest guys I know. And sure, a lot of people think they’re best friends are the nicest people ever. But I’m picky when it comes to people and he’s stayed with me for over a decade. He’s great.
- He loves his family a lot. Big family guy. Some people show off pictures of their dogs, but he shows off albums of his adorable nephew. Your donation helps get him feeling better so he can hug his family.
***REMINDER: 100% of the proceeds go toward covering Michael’s liver transplant medical expenses. ***
