Michael Pavesi's Health Story:
Hello! Thanks for checking out Michael' gofundme Page!
Back in the1970's and Michael in his 20"s as a college student, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease; and underwent the extensive radiation and chemotherapy threatments of that time. Unfortunately his cancer did not resolve and he had to battle (3) separate reacurring devastating episodes over several years.
Michael has never missed a day of work, even during the course of all those treatment sessions.
To add "insult to injury", a whole cascade of medical events soon followed because of the harsh radiation treatments used on him. His heart valves were damaged in the process. Michael has had to undergo (2) open-heart surgeries to replace failing heart valves; a coronary artery bipass procedure; and a full-blown stroke caused by blood clottig from the artificial heart valve replacement procedure. This is not to mention the other annoyances of dealing with the blood thinners, and druretics, and the other medications such as weekly blood testing, gout episodes due to drug interactions, and more.
To know Michael is to love him. He is the friendliest, wittiest, and kindest person I have ever met! He has been the best father, step father, grandfather, husband and friend and a joy to be around!
Michael is also active in the Boston boating community. As a Winthrop Yacht Club member and the chairman of the Regetta Committee, he and his wife Kathy have organized fundraisers, sail boat races, and regattas to other Yacht Clubs.
Unfortunately, Michael is now fighting another major adversity. About (3) weeks ago, he was diagnosed with a severely advanced glioblastoma cancerous brain tumor. Michael has undergone brain surgery, but the surgeon was only able to remove a small portion of the tumor since it is so deeply rooted near his brain stem. Michael is a true fighter, so we are praying for a recovery miracle. Michael is facing an uphill battle with more therapies to follow.
Now the medical bills are already starting to pour in, pile up, and his family desperately needs financial support right away. This is an urgent request!!
