Michaiah Monson

This GoFundMe has been created to support Michaiah Monson through this journey as she has been hospitalized since her critical diagnosis last year. We are asking for financial assistance to support Michaiah through this time to manage emergent needs, as well as, unexpected mounting medical expenses that have accrued. A STORY OF FAITH VS. FEAR

The Bible describes “NOW FAITH” as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Michaiah Monson has stood on the promises of God throughout her life. The efficacious nature of her smile and presence can encourage, inspire, and enlighten everyone around her when she walks into a room. Simply put, she is a light in our lives. Michaiah has raised two incredible young women of God who are pursuing higher education, tirelessly serving their communities, while caring for their mother on her bed of affliction.

Michaiah is full of energy, life, and love. Her “NOW FAITH” has remained active and steadfast even throughout this vicissitude of life. To know her is genuinely to love her and to be loved by her because of her unwavering care and concern for others. Though she embodies each of “The 5 Love Languages”, one of her greatest attributes is words of affirmation, as she always has a kind word for anyone that she encounters. Her presence is effervescent.

Michaiah is a dedicated hard worker. It is not uncommon to see her traverse the globe, serving and excelling in the world of Christian Media and Family Friendly Entertainment. In the spirit of servitude, her mission has been to integrate unknown and less known ministries with well-known ministries. Her hands-on, customized approach to each client allows the client an opportunity to build a colossal audience or augment their existing viewership.

In preparation for her Friday, 10/14/2022 business trip to Atlanta, GA, Michaiah stopped by the local hospital’s e.r. the night before. She wasn’t in pain or feeling sick. As she was getting her hair done, she noticed numbness on the left side of her head. She didn’t think much of it, but in an abundance of caution, decided to stop by the hospital on her way home. She presumed this would be a quick hospital trip for an x-ray and prescription for an antibiotic.

During that visit to the emergency room on the eve of 10/13/2022, she was told that she needed to be admitted right away. She told the e.r. doctor that she couldn’t stay at the hospital due to a work obligation the next day. The doctor then conveyed to Michaiah that she would have to rearrange not only her weekend travel plans but all of her future plans indefinitely.

After performing a battery of tests to determine the cause of her numbness, doctors discovered multiple brain tumors. Collectively, there have been more than 50 brain tumors. Subsequently, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized to her brain and lungs, the two organs that have the ability to positively impact or negatively impair her livelihood. Michaiah has been considered by many as a creative genius with the voice of an angel.

Michaiah began to activate her “NOW FAITH” in a way that she never had before. Since hospitalization, she has undergone multiple surgical procedures, including two brain surgeries. After each brain surgery, more brain tumors formed. Her “NOW FAITH” subscribes to the report that declares ‘no weapon “formed” against her will prosper’ (Isaiah 54:17),

Naturally, the influx of newly formed tumors bewildered the oncology team. To this end, they collectively decided to administer whole brain radiation prior to performing the third brain surgery. In the interim of the brain surgeries, Michaiah has begun chemotherapy. The chemo has been taxing on her body and her appetite, but not her “NOW FAITH”.

Michaiah has chosen faith over fear. She’s a living testimony of God’s grace. As she prepares for the next chapter of her life, she firmly believes that this experience will be her testimony and that she will continually advocate for people of all walks of life, as hope for the hopeless and a voice for the voiceless.
