Michele Baruffi Died; Disabled Son Needs Help!

Hello, this is David Baruffi. Sadly, my mother, Michele Baruffi, passed away this week after losing a sudden battle with pancreatic cancer. By the time she discovered her cancer the tumor was large, and chemo couldn’t shrink it giving her no options.

Anybody who knew her realized how loving and caring Michele was, and how painful her loss is for her family and friends. She had a beautiful soul and loved to laugh despite many challenges she faced as a single Mom.

Michele spent her life caring for me and my brother Robbie who is severely autistic, non-verbal, permanently disabled and needs constant care. She dedicated the last 10 years taking care of him and was unable to work. Taking care of Robbie full-time was her job.

While we want to remember the good times, her death has left us with a few complicated issues. I’m asking for money on GoFundMe to supplement my legal fight to become Robbie’s guardian since she wasn’t divorced from his father who hasn’t had contact with him since he was born.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to get a death certificate which I need to obtain her financial supplements, including Social Security, all of which help support my brother. I may need these funds to help me cover a portion of our living expenses until all legal issues are resolved.

Also, another challenge I will face is to obtain care for Robbie as I work full time and take care of him too along with my mom's longtime boyfriend Terry. My mom did her best for us. She rarely asked for help. I’m asking now for Robbie’s sake as he can’t. Please donate whatever you can to help secure Robbie’s future.

UPDATE!

Hey Everyone, I thought I'd update everyone on what's going on. Right now, we're going through the first court filings, I'm waiting on a ruling now. If we win, I can control her body and receive death certificates, which will help me transfer some of her funds, especially Social Security. After that, will be trying to get guardianship.... In the meantime, I'm gonna try to get back to work soon, but it's still gonna be tight for a while, even assuming the best-case scenario. I appreciate all those who's donated so far, I really do, and it's all helped; I've had to file documents, and get some notarized, that all cost some money, and we're saving what we can for the bigger fees upcoming but I still got a long way to go.
