Michele continues the fight and heals.

Hi, my name is Dan and I'm writing about someone that we all know and love. Michele Giordano. She may be your relative, friend, or past coworker at Bed, Bath, and Beyond or the NY Islanders, but she would never hesitate to assist someone in need. Right now, it’s Michele that could use your help.

Four years ago she started to have issues with her right pinky becoming numb. Eventually, the issues continued up her arm. Her hands became weak and atrophied. She was choking often and her walking suffered.

In September 2020, she was diagnosed with motor neuron disease, an ALS variant. It was devastating news. She went to 3 different doctors that all confirmed the heartbreaking diagnosis.

She started seeing a medical team in Miami that helped with her pain and mobility, plus got her confident about getting better.

Update: Michele has been treated since July and has shown improving standing tolerance with no assistance, increased exercise and activity tolerance and has shown clearer speech.
