Michele Lost All in Fire: Please help my mom

Hi everyone,

I'm Tabbi. I am autistic, living in California, and I'm not one to make a GoFundMe, but this isn't for me. My mom's name is Michele and she lives in Virginia. She is my best friend and only family left, as I am hers. She's funny and a goofball with a great sense of humor. She taught me to be humble and see the beauty in life where most don't. We live across the country from one another and still talk and send each other silly stuff back and forth. The last time I saw her in person was Christmas 2023, and I don't know the next time I'll be able to see her in person. My mom is the strongest person I've ever met. Even after losing her mother, grandmother, and brother, she hasn't once lost her humanity or love. She doesn't have much, and we don't come from much in our small Virginia town, but she would still give the shirt off her back for someone in need. She stops her car to help animals cross the street so they don't get hurt. She works most of the time to support her kitties, and when not working, she likes to play her little farm game on her phone. My mom is my definition of innocence.

This is why I'm so heartbroken that my mom's house caught fire on March 5th. While she was out taking her neighbor to a doctor's appointment, she got a call from another neighbor asking her if she was okay and if the kitties were with her. She rushed home to find she's lost everything and can't find her kitties. We don't know how the fire started, and we pray that the babies got out and are hiding somewhere safe, but even so, my mom doesn't deserve this at all. She's currently in shock and staying with her neighbor until stuff is figured out, but in the meantime, I wanted to be able to help her in any way I could. As someone who also doesn't have a lot to help her with, this was the only way I could think to raise some funds for my mom so she can get some clothes and be able to maybe get a hotel room or find an apartment in the near future. Any little bit would be appreciated, it's not even about the goal.
