Michele is Taylor Butterworth's mom. Taylor works for me at The Finishing Touch and has become an instrumental part of the business as well as a trusted friend. When a person of value in your life has a tragedy strike it is a very helpless feeling. When I heard that Michele hadn't gotten health insurance in place before she suffered a stroke I knew just what to do. By setting up this gofundme it allowed me to feel as if I was helping... "Friends & Family, February 7, 2021
Today has been a wild day. I’m battling with a multitude of time zones here, so this makes it a little easier for me to get out some updates. A lot of you are asking questions that I just don’t have the answers to right now. For those of you who are aware, thank you so much for all your love, prayers, healing vibes, etc etc., keep it coming please, we need it all.
To those of you who are unaware; my mother, Michele McGarrigle Palmer, is now in the hospital and has been since 2:30am this morning m, due to complications with breathing and what seems to be a cardiac related episode that we just aren’t sure what it actually is yet. However, a heart attack seems to be ruled out at this time, but again, we just don’t have many answers right now. Her heart rate had dropped way down into the 40’s which of course brought on its own set of symptoms; nausea, dizziness, etc. She is stable, her blood pressure is good, heart rate is good, Covid tests are coming back negative as expected, lungs are all clear. CT scans on her head are coming up all clear as well, thank goodness. There are some further complications that I won’t disclose until I get some more information from the doctors and Cardio team over in Baltimore where she is now.
We still haven’t had much communication from her at all. This isn’t bad, it just means she’s getting the rest she needs. Of course, visitors are not allowed which makes this a little extra difficult for those of us who tend to overthink and worry "
Since this message the doctors have verified it was stroke that is effecting the left side. She has some movement ability but she can't swallow and her eyes aren't coordinating well. She will have to be on a feeding tube.
As everyone knows this medical care comes at a high cost and with no insurance I was hoping if everyone chipped in a little it would take one worry from the families full plate of worries.
