PLEASE JOIN ME and HELP with Michele Zychowski’s HEALING JOURNEY
One of my best friends, Michele Zychowski, was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. We were hopeful that the type of cancer Michele had would require surgical removal of tumor, and possible localized radiation and life would move on. Unfortunately, surgical results identified a more aggressive cancer and Michele needs your help.
What we know:
We know that diagnosis and treatments for breast cancer have come a long way. Today’s pathology reports can show what therapy will be most effective. Her tumor(s) cell type show that targeted hormonal therapy, chemotherapy and possibly long term oral chemotherapy can prevent this type of cancer from reoccurring.
This is all devastating news, especially to someone who holds strong beliefs in the power of self-healing with nutritious foods, herbs and holistic approaches to self-care.
Treatment and How WE can help:
Michele’s care is currently being managed by Sloan Kettering in New York via Satellite offices as much as possible to prevent her exposure to the SARS2-COV-19 virus. Undergoing treatment during a pandemic adds significant concern and emotional/physical strain on her body while she continues her fight. Possible local treatment options in CT will reduce exposure and travel expenses but the medical bills are daunting. Michele does have medical insurance, but her out-of-pocket medical bills are already approaching $10,000 and chemotherapy hasn’t even started yet.
I am humbly asking for your help to reduce the financial burden from being an additional stressor for Michele, her husband and daughter. None of this is fair and I want Michele and her family to have some level of peace of mind, at least financially. I want Michele and her family to focus on her physical and emotional well-being without worrying about insurmountable bills.
Michele is one of the most kind-hearted, fun-loving vibrant people I know. She lives her life as organically as possible enjoying the simplest things in life such as spending time with her daughter, husband and good friends. Michele practices yoga, eats nothing but healthy foods and exercises just about every day. She is a lover of nature, the ocean and a good book! She longs to get back to work in the Children’s Dept at the library but both the pandemic and her diagnosis will make this more than challenging.
Donations will be used toward medical bills and nutritional and holistic support to strengthen her immune system while she undergoes chemotherapy and radiation treatments. ANY amount will help!
Breast Cancer can successfully be treated now more than ever. Please help me offer her some grace and positivity during this most difficult time.
