Michele's 2nd Battle Against Cancer

Donation protected
Michele Viliunas is a vibrant, joyful, strong woman who just celebrated her 50th birthday. Just 14 months ago, Michele was in the battle of her life.

After receiving a breast cancer diagnosis, Michele underwent chemotherapy, radiation and a double mastectomy. Friends, family and co-workers weren't at all surprised that Michele was a beautiful picture of peace, strength and trust in her Lord throughout the long and painful ordeal. That's just the kind of faith-filled person she is!

She finished treatment and was declared cancer free.

Then, just two weeks ago during a routine exam, Michele's physician discovered a lump. Her surgeon examined her and discovered three additional lumps. Michele was immediately scheduled for surgery to remove them.  The news came back quickly. The cancer was back.

Michele faces another round of chemotherapy, this time stronger, which starts on August 24th. Her other friends and I would like to bless her with two things that will help her defeat cancer and to reduce the terrible side effects of chemo.

1) Nutritional IV Therapy
When undergoing chemo 14 months ago, Michele attribruted keeping her strength and avoiding numerous negative side effects to the Myers' Cocktail, the most common nutritional IV therapy. This powerful immune system boost is a synergistic blend of vitamins and minerals, consisting of magnesium, calcium, B vitamins and vitamin C.  The Myers' Cocktail is named after John Myers, a physician from Baltimore, Maryland who treated patients with IV nutrient therapy for over 25 years. Since then, thousands of patients have received benefit from this cocktail.

IV nutrient therapy quickly delivers accurate therapeutic doses of vitamins, amino acids, minerals and other nutrients into the bloodstream.  Using the IV route of administration allows for the maximum concentration of nutrients to reach tissues that need them the most.  Cellular healing begins when the cells have the nutrients they need to function properly.

IV therapy can provide significant benefit in a number of cancers and has been shown to significantly improve quality of life for breast cancer patients and for patients with other cancers.

The Myers' Cocktail is $100 per treatment.

2) Prepared Meals by Fit Foods Redlands
During treatment, Michele will be residing in the casita of generous friends. The guest house does not have a full kitchen, which will make it hard for Michele to prepare the nutritious meals her body will so badly need for the next few months. Of course, planning and cooking healthy meals would also be very difficult from a physical standpoint during chemotherapy.

Fit Foods Redlands will provide three nutrient-dense, anti-cancer meals a day throughout Michele's treatment for $168 per week. Fueling the body with proper nutrition is extremely important for anyone undergoing chemo, and we want to take this burden off our friend during this time!

Thank you for considering how you can help Michele beat cancer once and for all! She is such a light to the world, and we want to be a light to her now.
