Support Michelle Wear and Family

Donation protected
Raise your hand if you've asked the Wear family, "How can I help?" Me too. And what's their response? Go donate blood. Get in the national marrow registry . Give platelets. Pray.

These are all good and necessary things (seriously, do them), but maybe you're with me in still feeling a bit helpless. Well, there is now a tangible way to serve and support this incredible family as they walk through this season. Will you join?

Quick overview of what's going on: (for a more thorough history, subscribe to her blog )
-In September, 2017, Michelle was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She fought hard through successful treatment and was officially in remission spring of 2018.
-February, 2019 doctors confirmed Michelle had relapsed with about 50% blasts in her marrow. She began immediate chemotherapy treatment to get her in remission again to prepare for a stem cell transplant.
-May 30, 2019 Michelle will "move in" to the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute for marrow transplant preparation (including high-dose radiation).
-June 7, 2019: DAY ZERO. This is transplant day. Pray for our big God to show up in big (and cellular!) ways. Michelle will receive new cells via a cord blood match. For 100 days, some of which will be at CBCI, Michelle will fight and heal and trust and fight some more. Good thing she's a warrior.

Here's where YOU come in! When Michelle comes home (anywhere between 20-60 days after transplant depending on many factors), she will mostly stay at home until that 100 days is up in September. Their home needs construction modifications to make this as comfortable as possible.

Zach's awesome dad Bart is organizing all construction matters, and he'll be working fast. Labor will need to be done before she comes home. Included in their necessary home modifications is air conditioning. Because of serious medical risks, their swamp cooler is prohibited as Michelle builds her immune system and adapts to her new cells. When she comes home the weather will be, well, hot, so let's ensure a quality air temp!

Community. We can remain faithful that our good God loves Michelle, Zach, Coda, Holden and Ollie even more than we imagine. But this is a hard storm. Can we take care of the construction and HVAC? All proceeds will go to these costs. Let's do this, yeah?
