Michelle Atwood 2020

Donation protected
On October 25, 2020, we lost our dear friend, Michelle, as she went to Heaven, leaving behind her earthly struggles with this dreadful disease.
THANK YOU to all who donated and prayed and offered Michelle encouragement and love. She appreciated each and every one of you!

Unfortunately, cancer is far too common. It will touch all our lives in some way, ravaging it's victims in body, mind and strength, extending its reach to family and friends and beyond.

We do what we can to fight, for that is what we are called to do...it's what we must do...fight the cancer beast, and never give up.

MEET MICHELLE...

Michelle is a fighter in every possible good way. She is fiery, fiercely beautiful with mesmerizing eyes, fiercely intelligent and quick witted, fiercely loyal to all who she calls friend and family (and that number is fiercely HUGE, for everyone who meets her loves her and adores her), and Michelle is so fun!

Michelle has always been the person that would do without to make sure you didn’t. She would never ask for help for herself  but would be the first person to help you if you ever needed it. It's this caring and nurturing trait that make Michelle such a good nurse, her profession for 25 years.

Michelle has never met a stranger and always makes time to make anyone she comes in contact feel special...including animals that she would open her home to... most recently her beloved Taco and Rico, her pet Chihuahuas, who have a hilarious Instagram account of their own!

If you know Michelle, you know how special she is...and if you don't know Michelle,  and you stumble upon this post, trust me that if you met her, you too would want to be her friend.

This is Michelle with Jeff,  her constant companion and life partner.

HER BATTLE WITH PANCREATIC CANCER

In the spring of 2019, Michelle was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and her cancer fight began. That's why you see her with boxing gloves in the photos I've posted.

Michelle has had multiple surgeries, including the delicate Whipple surgery, radiation, multiple rounds of chemo, and was declared cancer-free for a brief time. But shortly after she thought her fight was over, having fought courageously for over a year...the next battle abruptly began, when it was discovered that the pancreatic tumor had grown back.

Once again, a true warrior, she is back in the fight!
Michelle was having constant chemo and surgeries.
She lives in Vegas, but has been receiving treatment there and in Los Angeles where her pancreatic cancer surgeon practices...flying constantly back and forth.

Have you heard this saying attributed to Albert Einstein? “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”?
Michelle knew to really have a fighting chance, she'd have to change her battle strategy, beyond the chemo.

NEW BATTLE PLAN: ANTINEOPLASTON (ANP)

Michelle is now in Houston, Texas, where she's started a GROUNDBREAKING treatment to arrest stage IV cancers, with antineoplastons. Though you may not have heard of it (because the powers that be in the cancer industry have kept it forever in the same trial stage so that no one ever hears about it! Why? Because they can't patent it themselves, so it must remain a non-treatment option for most people.)This treatment is not new, and like Michelle, has been ferocious in it's fight to CURE the disease...and not merely treat it.

The FDA has approved trials of antineoplastons, but bureaucracy has blocked insurance from covering it, and all costs for this regimen are now out of pocket, which Michelle and Jeff say are worth it ...because they have HOPE again.

WILL YOU HELP MICHELLE?

2020 has been a rough year for everyone. No one is left untouched by the pandemic the world has been experiencing. Yet, in America, most of you reading this message have a home, have food, have a mobile phone and so much more.

Michelle has not been able to work since her diagnosis almost a year and a half ago. Her treatments have been extensive and lengthy, and the cost to her financially has been very high, with costs continuing to mount month after month.

It is with deep respect, I humbly ask you, can you give? Would you consider a donation of any amount to help Michelle?

The GoFundMe goal of $25,000 is a goal to give her mental rest and financial relief for just the FIRST month of treatment, so Michelle can concentrate on beating the disease and getting well. Michelle has four more months of treatment after that, creating quite a financial burden.

Truly, I pray that generous hearts will bury this goal and raise so much more!!!

But at the very least, and if you are a believer, you know it's FAR FROM LEAST, I ask you to PRAY for Michelle Atwood. She's growing weary, so pray for strength for her, pray for healing for her, and please pray for cancer everywhere to be cured!

Thank you ♥ from
Angela Meredith (friend and cancer survivor)
