Michelle Basch Family Support

This is the hardest post I’ve ever had to try to make. On Wednesday July 3rd 2024, my mom, Michelle Basch passed away from what felt like a very quick battle with lung cancer.
Anyone who knew her (which were a lot of people) knew she was always so happy, sweet, kindhearted and creative. She spent her whole life painting and laughing. She was an amazing cook, ran her own catering business, talented artist, and musician.
As a mother, she was my biggest supporter, inspiration, and role model. She treated everyone with kindness, and was always so uplifting. She let my metal band from high school practice in the house all the time. Sure she hated the music, she can’t stand the screaming, but she always encouraged us and fed all of us. She took in my friends when they needed somewhere to be, like a back up mom to them too. Even when she didn’t understand what I was going through she was always there for me.
She loved all things Disney, Barbie, Friends etc. We would sit on the couch for HOURS drinking coffee and laughing together over some silly show or just over some funny thing that happened to one of us. She was always laughing. She loved the theater and spending time with family and friends.
This money would be used to support her family (son, grandchildren, sister, etc) in the wake of this tragedy. After covering so many medical bills followed quickly by funerary services and time off of work, we are struggling with our own living expenses (rent, other bills, food, etc etc) and every penny is appreciated.
