On Christmas day, our day together went from joyful and magical to devastating when Michelle got word her dad, Mike Loeffel, had passed unexpectedly. Anyone that knows Mike, knows that his love for his daughter superseded everything. So many questions and unknowns, lots of expenses. Two hours later, Michelle started her long journey of traveling back to Nashville, travel to get her daughter to her mother, to FL, and then Jamaica. Talking with police, funeral home, customs, and friends, then traveling home-- only to be flying back down to Jamaica for an autopsy days later. It won't be the last of the travel. This unexpected travel and hardship, has been costly on top of getting Mike and his beloved things/dogs back to the US.
