Donate to help Michelle with rent and bills

2022 has not been kind to me this year. I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia a year and a half ago. I’ve been hospitalized four times since the end of December and been to Ambulatory Care three times for IV fluids and medication. I have been sick most of the summer and now I have injured my shoulder somehow. I have constant pain in my shoulder, all the way down my upper arm. I am in physical therapy through the month of October. Due to all of the hospitalizations ,illness, and physical therapy, I have only been able to work two and a half months out of 8 this year. I also now have custody of a 6-year-old boy named Malachi. His grandma was my best friend for 34 years and passed away in October 2021. She was going to take custody of him, but then got too sick from Covid-19. Her dying wish was that I take custody of Malachi and raise him to the best of my ability. I am getting some money from short term disability payments through work, but it has not been nearly enough to cover my expenses. My rent has been raised twice this year, and the landlord said they will continue raising the rent every few months until they get the rent up to market value. I am in the process of applying for SSDI, but in the meantime, I do not have enough money for my rent, utilities, and other monthly bills until I can either go back to work or be approved for disability. I cannot get evicted with a 6-year-old to take care of. He is depending on me. Your generous donations have been enough to pay all of my bills through this month as well as September’s rent. I am so very grateful to all of you that have helped me. Unfortunately my leave has to be extended through at least September, possibly October due to my shoulder injury and physical therapy. I am trying to find any help I can through government agencies and cancer organizations. But I may still need a little more help. Anything will help, even ideas of where I might apply for assistance.
