Michelle's Fight

Hello my name is Candice Newton. I am a care coordinator here at Caregivers America Reading office. Alongside Holli Castro and Janessa Franqui we are asking for financial support for one of our direct care workers Michelle Hunter. Michelle started working for CGA in August of 2021. Michelle is a mother of 3 kids and 7 grand kids whom she helps take care of. In December of 2021 Michelle was diagnosed with bronchitis and ended up going to the hospital because of shortness of breath. She was covid tested and also had an x-ray done to look at her lungs. Her covid results were positive and her chest x-ray showed a mass in her lungs. She was then sent for a CT scan to confirm mass on her lungs. She then sent for a lung biopsy to determine cancer. She was then told she did indeed have lung cancer and that it had also spread to her spine. She is being sent to have a PET Scan this week to determine which treatment to begin. Michelle is a hard worker here at CGA. She is loved by the consumers she services and truly loves what she does. As an office we would like to raise money to help lift the burden of treatment and also everyday expenses that she will have. She will not be able to work and help provide for her household.. Please consider donating. Even the littlest amount helps and if you can't help monetarily, then please keep her and her family in prayer. She came to us with this new first, her family does not yet know.
