I’m setting this up for Michelle, her husband, Dave and children to help cover medical costs so they do not have to worry about the financial strain and just be by her side. Below is some information on what’s happening, posted by her husband Dave. Michelle has always been a bright light and in desperate need for lots of love and prayers. Please help if you can during this difficult time.

This isn’t an easy post and I don’t have another way to let everyone know that is wanting to know-

I know a lot of you have had a lot of questions and all your support has been greatly appreciated-

On Sunday Michelle was taken to the hospital in Valdez- She was then flown up to Anchorage- They discovered that she has had several small strokes from clotting- The clotting was from an infection she had and they are still trying to figure out what/why caused it- Myself or her were not aware of anything wrong- She was totally fine Saturday-

They have done a surgery to relieve pressure from one of the clots causing bleeding on her brain- She is in the ICU and in very serious condition- I ask for all the prayers and love you can send-

Her sister has arrived, and my mom is arriving tonight- Our son Michael arrives on Sunday- All the other kids are here with us- We are truly being put to it right now, and I can’t answer everyone’s questions at this time-

Update: The physical therapist also helped her into a recliner chair- She has had a huge day with the physical therapist today- They did commands with her and helped her move around a bit. They then lifted her into the chair were she will rest the next hour or so- I can’t even express the feelings me and her sister were experiencing for this-

It was wonderful to see her sitting up and seeing her beautiful blue eyes looking at us… ❤️

Wanted to pass an update on Michelle-

We have had no set backs the last 24 hours!!! Only improvements!!! We are still in a very serious state, but we will take every bit of the good for sure-

Yesterday they were able to remove her breathing tube, and she improved with breathing on her own throughout the night and still does NOT require it to be placed back in- They were able to take her off her BP meds because she is doing great on keeping her BP in range- She has been able to open her eyes and track us when we talk to her- She is also able to follow commands sometimes now; which she wasn’t able to do a few days ago-

A few wonderful good steps in this difficult journey- We are very thankful for our family & friends and with all the support during this- Our kids have been absolute rock stars during this and I am in awe of their strength-

Update for 29AUG-

Today Michelle was able to be moved from ICU to the Neurology Unit for specialized treatment and physical therapy- She is still non vocal, and has very limited movement on her right side-

She does hold our hand, make eye contact, and respond to her name and some commands- Today she even gave us a few smiles- Thank you all for your support during this- Our family greatly appreciates it- Please keep this beautiful lady in your thoughts and prayers- ❤️ She is our rockstar!

Michelle had to have another surgery last night- She has been moved back to ICU- We don’t have all the answers right now- We just know that she is in a very serious state- She has been through so much these last two weeks-

I am not able to respond to text, or phone calls right now- Thank you for your understanding and continued support through this-
