Michelle Mattison-Arellano

Michelle had a bad slip and fall on the ice. She was initially misdiagnosed of her injuries, which could attribute to the seriousness of the damage. In December, she was diagnosed with a Subdural Hematoma or brain bleed. She was air lifted to the nearest Neurologist in Green Bay where she was observed for a few days. She has been able to avoid surgery til this point although the bleed was only 1 cm from requiring brain surgery. Michelle requires routine c-scans and more evaluations from the neurology department with Mayo. Michelle is also in speech therapy as the damage to her brain has created some difficulties with her speech and memory. Some of her medical bills are covered with insurance, but some are not. Needless to say, she is not able to work and do not know if she will again. Michelle has constant fatigue and blinding headaches daily. Applying for disability is a very long process and in the meantime, Michelle has many bills that she is finding it hard to take care of. Michelle has always been a hard worker so you can imagine the frustration she is feeling right now.
