Michelle Montgomery Memorial Fund

On Saturday, November 16, the world lost some of its light. Our dear friend Michelle Montgomery was taken too soon in a tragic accident that has left so many shocked, devastated and left wondering how such an amazing woman could be with us one moment and then gone the next. 

Michelle was nothing if not vibrant, vivacious and always seeking to get as much out of life as possible. Her laugh was contagious, and she never shied from a challenge. People marveled at her tenacity and fearlessness in all aspects of her personal and professional life, and she truly was an inspiration to us all. An avid equestrian, skier, hiker and all-around athlete, Michelle was not afraid to get her hands dirty and gave everything her all. 

Of all the extraordinary attributes one might assign to Michelle, her biggest source of pride was her son, Jake. Michelle always went above and beyond to ensure Jake was given every chance to explore his own passions, many of which they shared and enjoyed together. We cannot begin to imagine the pain and confusion both Jake and his dad, Michelle's husband Gary, are going through as they try to face a world without Michelle. 

As there is little else but time and the love and support of friends and family that can help Gary and Jake try to heal from this terrible loss, we at Brainsell are doing what we can to try and relieve some of the stress and financial worry that is another unfortunate aspect of losing a loved-one. For Jake's future education, we're asking our friends and colleagues to help in any way they can. Your donations will be managed by Brainsell for the length of this fundraiser campaign, after which time they will be turned over to Michelle's family. Our hope is to provide them with any respite we can from the usual financial stresses we face in every day life, so that Gary and Jake can focus on healing and remembering Michelle as the wife, mother and brilliant ray of light she was.
