Tragic loss of Michelle Renee Dunmore

Hello my name is Asia Dunmore and on Saturday October 14th 2023 at 86th terr and Troost my mother was tragically killed by a driver while walking to the bus stop in a hit and run accident. This has devastated me and my family as this is a very unfortunate unexpected and unnecessary loss. The driver (who is 20 yrs old) admitted to driving over the speed limit. She hit my mother without stopping, all because she was reaching for her cellphone. She then admitted to driving home, telling her parents (who also choose to not call the police), and the plan was to just get the car fixed and acted like my mothers life was not important. This senseless act took a beautiful soul from this world. She was taken from her mother her children and her grandchildren. The road that she traveled is not equipped with sidewalks for pedestrians to safely walk already and to add an unsafe irresponsible driver is a cause for attention. My mother did not have to die that way. She didn't deserve to not be able to see her grandchildren grow up. She deserved to see her mother continue to grow older with her health strong. My mother deserves justice! I don't know what the MO Justice System has planned but I do believe God has a plan. Finding the results of that plan will take time. I will keep this page updated on our fight for justice for my mother Michelle Dunmore. Right now I ask that you all pray for my family and cherish your love ones while you have them please.
