Michelle's cancer fight

We are Jackie Mangano and Kelly Gouge and we are good friends of Michelle (Webster) Shuck. The 2 of us, along with a group of Michelle's closest friends and family members started this GoFundMe in an effort to support Michelle both emotionally and financially through the challenging journey that she and her family are on.

As many of you might know, Michelle has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. Michelle is not a stranger to cancer, in fact, she made a full recovery after beating Hodgkin's Disease over thirty years ago. In true Michelle fashion, she has made a friend out of her Oncologist who proclaimed that Michelle is the best patient she has with her positive attitude and zest for life, despite the fact that she is receiving a very aggressive form of chemotherapy and radiation. Michelle keeps a smile on her face and assures us all that she WILL beat this second round of cancer. Michelle's life is currently centered around beating cancer and as a result, she is unable to work. Unfortunately, despite her inability to work, the medical bills and other financial obligations are unrelenting.

By starting this GoFundMe campaign we hope to offer some financial relief so that Michelle can continue to have her needs met while focusing on her own healing. If you are a friend of Michelle you know that she would give the shirt off her back. Michelle is a treasured friend, mother, and most recently holds the wonderful title of Grandma. Michelle has five loving children, Derrick, Dylan, Curtis, Keaton, and McKenna AND the sweetest granddaughter Josie (daughter of Keaton and Katherine) who is her pride and joy. All donations and support will go towards medical expenses (deductibles, copays, and maximum out-of-pocket expenses), treatments, and living expenses.
