Michelle Valdez brain surgery
On November 24, 2020 Michelle was told she had a large tumor that was causing pressure on her brain. As you all well know this will turn your world upside down! Her parents Edward and Linda Valdez as well as her son Joseph are the center of her life and have been by her side as much of the current situation allows them. she has suffered from migraines for over 20 years. Following a domestic violence attack in her youth, she felt the onset’s differently and more intense. Doctors believe one of the attacks she suffered cause her brain to be damaged and the tumor to begin its growth. It has caused loss of use in her limbs and pain and tingling on her right side of face and body.
Michelle is definitely not used to being down and out much less being taken care of. She has always been the one to do the taking care of. After the murder of her beloved brother Max Valdez, her career was laid out for her and she became a part of the mobile crisis response team for victims of homicide and domestic violence. She is a case worker for Presbyterian Medical Center helping hundreds of people in many difficult situations. Her love abounds for her clients and coworkers.
On Wednesday December 2, 2020 doctors will be putting Michelle through an 8 hour surgery to remove the tumor from her skull. She will then go through physical rehabilitation. This will cause her to be away from her job but still having to meet her insurance co-pays and try tokeep up with her bills. We are asking you to not only pray for our dear friend, but to give out of the kindness of your heart to help her get through this difficult time. God is not done with her yet! Please help with any donation you are able!
