Michelle Wilkins Mabry

This go fund me is set up for Michelle and her family to help with travel expenses to and from the hospital as well as help them with monthly bills while Michelle is in the hospital. Her husband Chris is a truck driver and is trying to work as much as he can but has to try and stay close in case he is needed at the hospital or needed by his children while Michelle is in the hospital fighting.  Michelle’s story and fight started almost three years ago when she was diagnosed with leukemia. Michelle had a stem cell transplant which saved her life but Unfortunately it has  caused lots of skin problems with graft verses host disease which is why her body is wanting to fight the stem cell. Recently, they were preparing her to start a treatment at Barnes Jewish hospital. They had to put in a port for the treatments which she was going to have to take for at least 6 months. She contracted staph infection in her blood from the port. After a week of treatments for the staph they discovered she had two blood clots in her heart and one trying to go to her lung. They tried going in the heart to suction the blood clots out but it was unsuccessful. On top of this she also only has one kidney and the contrast dye they used for testing has caused her kidney function to go way down. She has been fighting for her life and still has a ways to go but with God we know nothing is impossible. Michelle has a husband and two young children ages 9 and 13. She is fighting hard to return home to her family. She is in the ICU at Barnes-Jewish in St. Louis. Please consider helping this family. Any amount of donation will be greatly appreciated. It will certainly take some of the burden off of them while they concentrate on fighting this sickness.
