My road to diagnosis has dragged over several years. This past month I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and last year diagnosised with a rare form of cancer called systemic mastocytosis. Managing my many symptoms and my health care has become my full-time job and has changed my expectations of life in general. I am not very mobile and the unpredictability of my symptoms make me mostly home bound.
