Michelle's TCS NYC Marathon with BBBS of NYC 2024

Hi Everyone!

Firstly, I want to say a big thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am beyond excited to be running the NYC Marathon on November 3rd, 2024, with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of New York City. As a native New Yorker and BBBS Young Professionals Committee (YPC) member, it is an honor to be running for the BBBS Team and raise funds to support their legacy. For those unfamiliar, BBBS is the nation’s first and the city's largest youth mentoring organization. Since 1904, they have provided unwavering support to children in need through the incredible power of mentorship. Through my time in the organization, I have been able to witness firsthand the beautiful and incredible impact a companion, friend, and mentor can have on a child.

Some fun-facts about me! I am a triplet born on my mom's birthday who loves all things art, cats, and fashion. I have been a running-enthusiast from a young age, and a goal I set at 16 years old was to complete a marathon. I have been lucky enough to be a part of BBBS YPC for about 9 months now, actively participating in outreach to support our fundraising efforts and am currently interviewing to become a mentor in our College Success Program. This program supports high school students (former Littles) in their transition to post-secondary education, fostering their growth to achieve a successful, post-graduate career. One of the most meaningful experiences of both my undergrad and post grad years, that have had a huge hand in my current career, has been my unbelievably supportive mentorship network, acting out of the pure goodness of their hearts to see me succeed. I can't wait for the chance to pay it forward, aiming to live up to my amazing mentors and form a bond with a mentee that goes beyond words.

· $3,500 allows you to 'adopt a match' for one year.

· $1,000 provides one year's worth of academic support for Littles.

· $250 funds the cost of one comprehensive screening for a potential Big.

· $100 supports the cost of our volunteer outreach and recruitment efforts to help attract new mentors for children in need.

Every dollar will truly make a difference to support BBBS mission of creating and supporting one of a kind mentoring relationships.

The blood, sweat, and tears that will go into this marathon are a small price to pay for the opportunity to support our Littles, and I can’t wait to see you all cheering at the finish line!
