Michigan Ave Feral and Stray Cats of Atlantic City
We ARE not a Non-Profit. Everything we do for these Feral and stray cats & kittens comes from your donations; when we do not have donations, it comes out of our pockets.
What we do with the donations: 100% go to helping Feral and Stray Cats and Kittens. We depend on donations to spay and neuter, feed our colonies, and seek medical care if we find an injured or sick cat or kitten in the colonies. We transport back and forth whether for spaying or neutering an injured or sick cat. We use donations for supplies, and disinfectant supplies for our recovery and foster station. Paper towels, formula, kitten bottles, cat litter, blankets, pet beds for kennels. Maintenance of our equipment like our traps, pet carriers, and kennels. We have to keep the recovery and foster station clean and ready to accept what may come in whether it be feral cats that have been spayed or neutered a batch of kittens that need fostering or a stray cat that has just been abandoned and will not survive around a large colony.
The need is super large! We hope this gives you some insight as to why we need your help.

I first noticed just a couple of cats and I would share some of my indoor cat's food with them. And all of a sudden it turned into 5 cats and kittens in tow. But I noticed the cats were really showing up when people were moving out or being evicted. And they were looking for a safe space and were hungry. But it kept growing with house cats and stray cats and kittens before I knew it I was counting 15 to 20 cats and kittens. I was spending money out of my own pocket to keep them fed. I was becoming overwhelmed and funds were dwindling. About 2 years ago I met a friend who was able to help me trap a mom cat and her kittens. So I reached out and let her know about what was going on.
My Michigan Ave colony was getting bigger by the day. She was able to trap a few and pay out of her own pocket to get them spayed and neutered. But as she was trapping my colony was still growing. I had so many pregnant cats that it felt like we had a litter a week being born. And the females that were not pregnant would soon be that way. Things have not slowed down. My colony is 20 plus now. We were able to trap 4 females last week and they have been spayed and will be TNRed back into the colony because they're feral.
I want to continue to feed my colony and be able to get them spayed or neutered. So now I am reaching out to you. Any amount that you can give is a blessing to the Michigan Ave Stray Cats. So I am asking for them, they didn't have anything to do with how their life has turned out for them. We owe it to take care of them and to love them. After all a life is a life and we all deserve to be taken care of.
Thank you in advance for your help. Your donations will really be put to good use for their care.
