Mick Harvey Stolen Gear Fundraiser

Hi all,

Paul Connelly here on behalf of my colleague Mick Harvey.

Recently, whilst on assignment, Mick's car was broken into and all his professional photographic equipment was stolen, and unfortunately his cameras were not covered in his insurance with his home and contents.

Mick is not only my colleague but my best friend. So far the Police have been unsuccessful in tracing his stolen equipment so he finally relented in allowing us to set this up on his behalf. I have set this fund up with the aim of getting him back to work as fast as possible. We aim to get him one camera and two lenses plus a laptop to process his images. This will be enough to get him working again.

For the past 18 months, he has been by my side as we have worked to provide images and stories for the Koori Mail, the National Indigenous Newspaper. Mick is the most hard-working photographer I have ever had the pleasure of working with as a journalist, and I need my photographer back beside me to cover the events we have coming up.

Please help me help a genuine and well-deserving individual get back to working in the field he so dearly loves.
