Mickey to Cardiologist/Darcy Dental

Donation protected
Hi all!

Most of you know that my husband and I take in senior and special needs Spaniels: Mickey, Darcy, Daisy, Penny, Banjo, Tulip, and Georgia.

This is their Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/mickey_the_senior_cavalier/

Four see a cardiologist, two see a neurologist, one sees an eye specialist, one has an Internist . And it all cost quite a bit.

Traditionally my husband and I have a fund set up for our dogs to cover wellness exams, dentals, and cardiologist appointments.

However last year my husband had a heart attack (he is fine now thankfully), a second stent put in, and I had a 24 hour stay at the hospital as well for something they never actually figured out.

And while we do have health insurance for ourselves, our dog fund was completely wiped and then some, with debt from the human hospital stays.

I myself am disabled and I work from home running a food blog for the last 14 years. The money I make from the blog is how we pay for our dogs medicines, vet appointments, food, supplements, etc.

This last April I lost my longest standing and largest client. Where 70% of my income comes from, they themselves lost their funding for it.

While I hope to get other clients the bulk of budgets for food blogs are all decided in January. I did get to assignments that are coming up at the end of September but payout for those is 30-60 days after the work is done. And being disabled I am limited to what I can do and can't just go get a job.

We depleted our funds (aka ran up our Care Credit card again) getting Mickey and Daisy to the cardiologist, Daisy's Urgent Care visit, Penny's dental (5 extractions), Mickey's appointments for seizures and eye, Tulips appointments, and Georgia's senior wellness appointment.

Mickey started to have increased respiratory this weekend. I fear he needs to go to the cardiologist sooner than the 6 month mark. If he gets the "full meal deal" of echocardiogram, bloodwork, radiograph, and exam it will run around $1200. We know, we just did it all in May.

Darcy also needs to go to the cardiologist before she gets a dental. She will most likely just need an echocardiogram and exam. Fingers crossed. Which will run around $600.
She also needs a dental. If she is like Penny and needs extractions it will run around $1000.

I really dislike asking but we have learned to as for support when we need it.
