Micko's Medical Miracle

You know those friends you make in elementary or middle school who you absolutely KNOW are friends for life?! Well, I met Micko Corbin at St. Andrews Middle School in the early 1990's, and I knew this girl was the real deal. A genuine, kind hearted and caring person, even as a teenager. 
She and I were in Art Club and several classes throughout the years together. This photo is of the two of us accepting visual arts awards in middle school. Micko lives in FL, and although I'm still in SC, we've stayed in touch.
Micko has been through SO MUCH in the last few years, and I hesitate to share everything, because it is overwhelming. Just know that in addition to the following, she is facing more tests and procedures when she gets through the most prevalent one. She has Gastroparesis, and as she was seeing specialists for an upcoming, temporary feeding tube placement, the CAT scan of her abdomen revealed another problem. They discovered a mass on her lower breast, even though her mammogram less than a year earlier was clear. She had the mass removed from her breast and biopsied. Unfortunately, my sweet friend has to face a double mastectomy before any of the other issues can be addressed.
Micko has never asked me for help all these years... Until today. She is scared about paying bills on her one income. She'll be out of work for appointments, surgery, and an 8 week recovery. Her paid time off is nearly depleted already. I want her to know that although she is overwhelmed, she is not alone! We are called to help our brothers and sisters in need. And y'all, this girl is my sister, and she's a sister to many! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please share, and let's help relieve some of the monetary stress Micko is facing.
