Mic's Medical Costs

Hi Everyone,

On Friday, June 23rd, Mic, unfortunately, died from a sudden onset of sepsis. Mic had just relocated to Mexico to live out his lifelong dream of retiring in the beautiful mountain town of Jalisco. Mic had been traveling to Mexico on and off for 40-plus years and made many friends while down there who he considered family. Everyone who knows Mic knows that this is true. If you knew Mic you were family to him.

We are raising money to repay the family that helped to save Mic's life. In Mexico, the medical care system is very different than ours here in the US. The only way people receive care is with payment upfront. The family that tried to save Mic's life used much of their life savings and profits from their small ranch. Unfortunately, Mic's insurance did not cover the expenses and now the family is suffering not only the tremendous loss of Mic, they are suffering financially as well.

The people of Mexico are the most giving and loving folks you'll ever meet. My Dad Dave and Mic have a fondness for Mexico because of the love that everyone shares there. How everyone takes care of each other is something to look towards as we grieve the loss of Mic. Any amount will help and is greatly appreciated by the family in Mexico and Mic's family here in the US.
