Hi, my name is Debi Burnett and I’m fundraising on behalf of my daughter Micsha Fukiko Durham. On April 11, 2023 two Detectives of the Wilmington Police Department informed me my daughter Micsha’s body was found stabbed to death in a bathroom at Godwin Stadium Shipyard Blvd that morning around 9:00. I was still grieving over the death of my son who passed away Easter morning 2021. I have life insurance on myself because I never wanted my children to bear the burden of trying to come up the money to bury me. Never did I think they would die before me. I also never thought I would ask for help to bury my daughter. I realize times are financially difficult for so many people. If you can help in any amount I would sincerely appreciate it. Because it is treated as a homicide the investigation is on going. I am told I can’t give a burial date until an autopsy is conducted then a medical examiner will at some point release her body.
