Mid-Week Chapel Small Group Be A Blessing Fund

As you’ve heard our goal at Christ Fellowship is to have everyone in a group and every group on mission. Well, our first mission has been given to us through our “Be A Blessing” initiative.

Did you know that nearly 63% of children in Miami-Dade County live in households that can’t afford basic necessities? In fact, 19% of those children are living in poverty, and 38% of parents say they’ll have to cut back on food and other needs this year just to make ends meet.

As followers of Jesus, this breaks our hearts and we want to do something about it. That’s why we’re starting Be a Blessing. This initiative gives us the opportunity to be a blessing to families throughout the year. As God has blessed us, let’s be a blessing to others.

For $300 our small group can sponsor a food-insecure child for the school year. And since our small group is larger than the average group, we believe we can sponsor four children. This will provide nutritious, easy to prepare meals to these children in need through the Caring for Miami Backpack Program.

This is step one of our mission - to raise $1200 for our four children. (You’ll notice that the goal is $1300 and that is to cover the Go-Fund Me fees.) Let’s be a blessing!!!!
