Midwest Books to Prisoners Needs Funds for Postage

Midwest Books to Prisoners needs funds to ship more books to people incarcerated.  We have sent out nearly 700 packages since the pandemic started, but have hundreds more to send. Because of covid, most prisons have gone into lockdown, or very restrictive movement.  Visiting in most facilities has been suspended for months now, and many inmates have spent this time locked in their cells 23 hours a day. Because of all of this, it is imperative that people incarcerated get books during this time.  Often times, books are the only escape from the redundancy and oppressive nature of incarceration.     All the books we send out are donated to us., and the only cost is the price of shipping.  Each package is mailed out via media mail, so packages cost anywhere from $2.80-$4.39.   We will post receipts here to show every dollar donated goes to the cost of shipping,  Please help us get books to people inside!  It makes a huge difference!
