Mielle is the sister of TCA Apprentice, Tyler Dale.

Mielle was diagnosed with Leigh Syndrome (a type of mitochondrial disease) at a very young age and as a result has been in and out of the hospital most of her life and last year Mielle had to undergo 3 surgeries and time in the ICU for each one.

1. on ligaments around her right foot to correct its position

2. a tibial torsion to correct the lower leg position and

3. To replace (grow) the bipolar spinal rods she had implanted in a previous surgery to correct her scoliosis that has developed as a result of muscle weakness caused by her disease.

Mielle is a very optimistic young girl and was lucky enough to be invited to participate in a medical trial 10 years ago. She has surpassed her original prognosis by at least 6 years.

Her strength and positivity through all her struggles has been a massive inspiration to us. We hope to raise money for her and her family for help with medical bills (or even a little well deserved getaway)..
