Migliorelli Farm Fire
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Katherine and I am creating this Go Fund me in aspiration to help support Migliorelli farm during this very difficult time. On 5/19/23 at 2:30 AM their barn complex suffered a devastating fire that destroyed not only their barns and buildings but the farm's major products and equipment.
Included in the loss were multiple trucks, tractors and other equipment along with products ready to sell. Products such as hay for his horse customers and mulch delivered in hopes to plant tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers this upcoming week.
An International truck fully loaded with the farm's last load of rye, queued to be delivered this morning to a local distillery. And additionally, fertilizer which was needed to be put down today for corn and mixed vegetables before this week's rain.
Migliorelli Farm is a family-run farm that has been a staple to Red Hook and surrounding Hudson Valley communities. They have shown support by serving on several town committees and various donations to local functions throughout the years.
I am hoping that the community can come together and donate in efforts to aid Migliorelli in their time of need.
Thank you.
5/19/24 One Year Update:
Words seem inadequate to convey the depth of appreciation we feel for the unwavering support you, our families, friends, and our community have shown us during a most challenging time.
Exactly a year ago, our farm faced a devastating fire that left us with coping with loss and uncertainty. Not only did we experience the financial loss of buildings, equipment, and product, the barns had deep sentimental value that can never be replaced. However, in the aftermath of this tragedy, what emerged was a testament to the power of compassion, unity, and generosity. It is with profound gratitude that we acknowledge the remarkable outpouring of love, support, and resources that poured in from all corners of the town, the Hudson Valley, New York City and the farming community to help us rebuild what was lost.
To our family, your steadfast presence and unwavering encouragement have been the pillars of strength that held us together during the darkest days. Your willingness to stand by us, offering your time and resources, has been nothing short of extraordinary.
To our friends, you demonstrated the true essence of friendship by standing shoulder to shoulder with us, offering your helping hands, comforting words, and endless acts of kindness. Your belief in us and your willingness to go above and beyond to assist in the rebuilding process has touched our hearts deeply.
And to our community, including the supportive farming community, your overwhelming response has been a source of inspiration and hope. From the many fundraising efforts, the countless volunteer hours dedicated to restoring the farm, and the donations and/or use of equipment and supplies, your collective efforts have not only helped us rebuild our physical infrastructure but have also reignited our faith in the inherent goodness of others.
What a difference a year makes! Today, as I look around and see the progress that we have made, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and humility. The donations we received were instrumental in funding the rebuilding process and keeping the business viable. They enabled us to replace essential equipment and supplies and to put up a temporary storage building. Each contribution, no matter the size, made a significant impact in keeping the day-to-day operations of the farm going. In fact, several critical pieces of equipment needed to be replaced immediately following the fire for the operation to not miss a beat. Through the funds received, we were able to keep the farm and the markets and stands all opened and supplied.
As we continue to move forward, emboldened by the love and support of each and every one of you, please know that your contributions, whether big or small, have made a lasting impact. We are eternally grateful for your kindness, generosity, and unwavering belief in our ability to overcome adversity.
With deepest gratitude and warmest regards,
Ken Migliorelli
