Support Migrant Shelters during the Pandemic

Donation protected
Please help the Border Line Crisis Center and Church to serve our most vulnerable neighbors during the pandemic.  They and other micro-organizations and shelters in Tijuana are the first and last resort for northbound refugees and southbound deportees.  Right now, they are critically low on essential supplies including: masks, hand sanitizer, hygiene products, food, etc.  Space is tight, social distancing is nearly impossible, and health conditions were already precarious before COVID-19.  As our regional economy grinds to a halt and the border remains partially closed,  the donations and volunteerism on which they depend have slowed dramatically.   The official response in Mexico has been a mix of welcome and hostility, and refugees constantly balance the need for basic services with the threat of arrest and detention.  If and when the day work on which many depend starts to dry up, basic food and shelter will very much in question for thousands, to say nothing of the risk of contagion to them and those who serve them.  I know that the need is crushing right now in so many quarters -- if you can spare something for this community, please know that it will go directly to some effective and courageous people on the frontlines. Thanks.
