Migrants Desperate For Warm Winter Hats and Socks
Donation protected
Refugees, escaping violence and oppression in China, Turkey, and places all over the world are coming to America through remote mountain areas such as these along the U.S. Mexico Border. Here in Jacumba, California, refugees are spending their first nights in America — cold and hungry.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection keeps these refugees without food or shelter waiting for space at a nearby CBP Processing Center.
Offering no food or shelter, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is keeping as many as 600 people in 3 separate outdoor camps just miles apart.
You can help purchase winter caps and socks to help provide comfort for America’s newest arrivals. Volunteers are preparing as many as 1,000 meals per day.
