Miguel Caudillo - COVID-19 Fund

On June 27th, Miguel Caudillo was admitted into the observation unit at Yuma Regional Medical Center due to COVID-19 symptoms. He first arrived to a local urgent care and was told to go into the ER due to his oxygen levels dropping. Later that night, Miguel developed complications from the virus and was to be flown immediately to Banner Medical Center in Tucson for better care. The following morning Miguel and his family were notified that they would need to medically induce him into a coma, due to Miguel having a difficult time breathing and his oxygen levels continuously dropping. Since Sunday, June 28th Miguel has been in the intensive care unit, in a medically induced coma and was put on a ventilator to manually breathe for him. Under 24 hours, his current situation heavily impacted both him and his family's life. 

Miguel  has had the time of his life, but his roller coaster does not stop and should not stop due to coronavirus.   He is a father to three brilliantly beautiful daughters (Karina, Lorena & Melissa) and the husband to an amazing, one-of-a-kind wife, María Elena. Not only does he support this family, he supports the entirety of our family, one way or another. Miguel played a huge role on many family members. He was there to be a father figure, a person to vent to and support anyone for their decisions. He is the most down to earth, obnoxious and respectful uncle, husband, brother and father anyone could have asked for. Miguel is the person you invite to go on ridiculously difficult hikes, random trips and most importantly, food tasting. Miguel served in the National Guard, he was a Sergeant at Yuma County Sheriff's Office and most recently worked in as a Security Guard. He is well known within our family, friends and local community, and truly loved by all of us, indefinitely. 

While Miguel is in the ICU fighting for survival, our duty as a family and friends is to support and send prayers to him and his immediate family. While we continue to wait for his recovery, we also know the road ahead of us will not be an easy one. Unfortunately, Miguel has no health insurance and while being in the ICU, being transferred via air transport and other expensive medical expenditures, these bills are taking a toll on his family and him. Miguel is the main source of income for his wife and his wife’s sister who has a disability. All donations will be used for medical bills only.

Miguel is a strong person and we have high hopes and prayers he will overcome the coronavirus. He is a much loved father, husband, brother and uncle. We love our Miguel and we will continue to fight for him.
