Miguel Jr and Family

My name is Jeannette and my brother Jr needs help. A few things I would like everyone to know about Jr.... I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way but he is my constant. When life changes, most people change, grow up or grow apart. Not Jr. He was born with a heart of gold, with pure innocence and he'll never change. He's autistic and artistic and wonderful. He never complains, still loves Santa and just wants everyone to be happy.

About a year and a half ago our family got the scare of our lives. Junior collapsed while out on routine errands with our mom. At the emergency room she really fought for his medical condition to be found. Stage 4 Colon Cancer metastasized to his lungs and liver. No one was prepared for that diagnosis. His body has been under attack and he's struggling in too many ways to explain. Fevers, pain, fluctuating vitals and so much more.

My mother has been his advocate since birth and continues to fight for his well-being and needs. Unfortunately not everything he needs is covered by insurance. Like a battery operated oxygen concentrator because he can not move around, let alone attend chemotherapy or doctor visits without oxygen. My mother is the person who transports him via wheelchair but it's bulky and heavy and she needed a better option. Also with the care and chemo and doctor appointments I'm hoping to be able to send easy, healthy meals or meal kits to my mom. I am unfortunately almost on the opposite border of my family. While I visit, I can't be there to help as much as I would like. I'm hoping donations can ease the burden financially and also relieve some stress with services like meals delivered.
