Miguel & Leticia - Loving Parents Murdered

It is with great sadness we share that on April 7th, 2022, 49-year-old Miguel Angel Abrego Hurtado & 48-year-old Concepcion Leticia Carrillo Arellano were tragically murdered in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. Leaving behind their 21-year-old son, Miguel and 18-year-old daughter, Diana.

 

For reasons beyond our understanding, someone’s senseless act ripped Miguel and Leticia away from this world. It is not enough to say we are shocked and hurt. We are utterly devastated. Their murder leaves many unanswered questions and creates a void in our hearts that can never be fixed or filled. Not even with time. This nightmare has become our new reality.

 

Miguel and Leticia were extremely compassionate with a desire to always uplift those around them. They were a hard-working couple who radiated a joy that could light up any room and were always willing to lend a hand. Miguel and Leticia were the true definition of "Till Death Do Us Part." They did not deserve their life to be cut short by a heinous act of violence. We will never forget their caring spirit or the beautiful memories they left with us. They will forever be remembered by their parents, siblings, extended family, friends and most importantly, their beloved children, Miguel and Diana.

 

Miguel and Diana need financial assistance to cover post-mortem transportation of the bodies from Puerto Escondido to their hometown, funeral arrangements, attorney fees, counseling, and, most importantly, everyday living expenses. With the tragic event of losing both parents at once, Miguel and Diana are now challenged to take over the mortgage payments, insurance and bills while navigating through school. Miguel is currently in college, obtaining his bachelor's degree. Diana is a senior in high school, graduating with honors and planning to attend college in the fall. Prior to this tragedy, Miguel and Diana were not working in order to focus on school. This financial donation will help them continue to focus on their education without the risk of dropping out due to their newly unexpected financial burdens.

 

Through our deep grief, we are faced with a long road to justice for Miguel and Leticia and a new way of life for Miguel and Diana. We humbly ask our family, friends, and community to come together to support them during this difficult time. Having said this, no amount is too small. We thank you in advance for your thoughts, prayers, and donations as we help Miguel and Diana normalize their life as much as possible, with the absence of their beloved parents.

Con gran tristeza compartimos que el 7 de abril de 2022 Miguel Ángel Abrego Hurtado de 49 años y Concepción Leticia Carrillo Arellano de 48 años fueron trágicamente asesinados en Puerto Escondido, México. Dejando atrás a su hijo de 21 años, Miguel, y a su hija de 18 años, Diana.

 

Por razones que escapan a nuestro entendimiento, el acto sin sentido de alguien arrancó a Miguel y Leticia de este mundo. No es suficiente decir que estamos conmocionados y heridos. Estamos completamente debastados. Su asesinato deja muchas preguntas sin respuesta y crea un vacío en nuestros corazones que nunca podrá ser reparado o llenado, ni siquiera con el tiempo. Esta pesadilla se ha convertido en nuestra nueva realidad.

 

Miguel y Leticia fueron extremadamente compasivos con el deseo de siempre ayudar a quienes los rodeaban. Eran una pareja trabajadora que irradiaba una alegría que podía iluminar cualquier habitación y siempre estaban dispuestos a ayudar a quien lo necesitara. Miguel y Leticia fueron la verdadera definición de "Hasta que la muerte nos separe". No merecían que su vida fuera arrebatada por un atroz acto de violencia. Nunca olvidaremos sus espíritus bondadosos ni los hermosos recuerdos que nos dejaron. Siempre serán recordados por sus padres, hermanos, familiares, amigos y los más importantes, sus amados hijos, Miguel y Diana.

 

Miguel y Diana necesitan asistencia financiera para cubrir el transporte de los cuerpos desde Puerto Escondido a su ciudad natal, arreglos funerarios, honorarios de abogados, asesoramiento y, lo que es más importante, los gastos diarios. Con el trágico evento de perder a ambos padres a la vez, Miguel y Diana ahora tienen el desafío de hacerse cargo de los pagos de la hipoteca, el seguro y las facturas mientras siguen estudiando. Miguel está actualmente en la universidad, obteniendo su licenciatura. Diana está en el último año de la preparatoria, se graduara con honores y planea asistir a la universidad en el otoño. Antes de esta tragedia, Miguel y Diana no trabajaban ya que su ûnico enfoque era estudiar. Este apoyo financiero los ayudará a continuar enfocándose en su educación sin el riesgo de abandonar los estudios debido a las nuevas cargas financieras por esta tragedia.

 

A través de nuestro profundo dolor, nos enfrentamos a un largo camino hacia la justicia para Miguel y Leticia y una nueva forma de vida para Miguel y Diana. Humildemente pedimos a nuestra familia, amigos y comunidad que se unan para apoyarlos durante este momento difícil. Habiendo dicho esto, ninguna cantidad es demasiado pequeña.
