Miguel Quintanilla Benefit
CANCER- May 21, 2021 has become our biggest nightmare! My fiancée Miguel Quintanilla has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) Since his diagnosis, he has completed his first round of chemotherapy, with at least one more after this one. If all goes well, he will receive a bone marrow transplant in late July, or early August. Words cannot express how extremely difficult this news has been on our family. From a routine blood test, to being in a cancer center in Fargo, ND for 4 weeks in the same 24 hours! Both rounds of chemotherapy are being administered 5.5 hours away in Fargo, ND, with the transplant being performed even further in Minneapolis which is 9 hours away. Both treatments are lengthy, one being 4-5 weeks, and the other lasting at least 16 weeks! Since this all began, I've had to ask to be put on non-paid emergency leave to be able to care for him and our 12 year old, and 9 month old daughters. So we humbly ask our friends and family, to help our family in any way you can thru this difficult time. Thank you all, and please continue to pray for us.
